You do not need twenty bottles. You need a few that cover real life.
A simple wardrobe is three scents: one clean daily, one warmer evening, one seasonal wild card (fresh for summer or cozy for winter). Add a hair mist or unscented lotion if you want more staying power without buying another full bottle.
Layering works when the pieces agree. Pair a citrus cologne with a clean musk. Pair a rose with sandalwood. Pair vanilla with a soft floral. Clashing happens when you stack two loud gourmands or two heavy ambers. If you layer, start with the milder product — lotion or oil — then spray.
Discovery sets exist for this. Wear one mini on Monday, another on Thursday. Write a one-line note: “office, faded by lunch” or “too sweet after dinner.” Your future self will not remember otherwise.
Gifting is easier with sets and travel sprays than with a full bottle of a scent they have never worn. Perfume is intimate. A sample says “I thought of you.” A surprise 100 ml bottle says “I hope this is you.”
Keep bottles cool and dark. Date them if you like; most juice is at its best in the first few years if stored well.
